I can see how theyre crunched at the distribution center. They took a poorly packaged bag (probably 15-20 lbs) of hard corn logs that I bought for the squirrels and placed that in a box with a bunch of smaller, delicate electronics. Then the moron who delivered it flipped it on its side and crushed the boxes. I understand being frustrated with your work environment, but dont take it out on the customers. I would rather them outright strike than destroy my stuff and make me go to a return center less than a week before Christmas. The workforce seems to be attempting to go to Industrial Revolution levels of worker abuse right now and nobody with power is trying to stop this. Also, to address the topic title, I view it as the bigwigs at Amazon are the ones ruining Christmas. The workers dont have much weight to throw around compared to Amazon and this is one of the only ways to be heard: making the entire country realize that theyre underpaid and overworked in an unsafe work environment.
