Im not one to jump on you like the others and youre clearly just baiting at this point. As for the shoes I know nothing about fashion so I dont recognize the brand. They just look like multi-colored ugly shoes to me.

i like the bottom one much better. The top one is too American for me. I hate red/white/blue color patterns. Plus that white sole already looks dingy and faded making them look like old used shoes to me.

I agree I think the venom pair is way better than the spiderman pair.

theyre ascics like the fourth or maybe 5th most popular shoe brands

this specific set is a collab with the modern streetwear brand kith and marvel themselves

they even come with a comic book

Standard Asics are terrific, but around $90-150. Paying twice as much for a collab that you have to be told what it is... Is a decision.

They're probably run on the same assembly line that makes much cheaper shoes tbh. When I did factory work back in the day sometimes the only difference between products was a different label.

Same factory for sure, but GT-2160 is a decade old silhouette. The modern version is the GT-2000 13, which they make hundreds of thousands of, versus this which they probably make tens of thousands of for throwbacks and collabs. A lot of the upcharge is marketing and such, but they aren't hitting the same economies of scale for these as their mass produced inline models.

I'm not one to make fun of people for buying stuff like this (I bought a $400 Gundam coat since it hit just right to me), but I'm not a fan of the style of these. As long as you like them and can afford them that's what's important, though.

Eh, they look fine, but while the colors are right for the characters, I feel like the design could have been tweaked to make the character connections better. Now, I don't know the specifics of how comfortable they are or what the soles are like or stuff like that, but just based on the looks, I don't see why they are that expensive. If you like them, that's fine, I've definitely spent more money on something than it should be worth because I wanted it and couldn't find it for a more reasonable price.
