Yeah Ohio State scored very easily as we all expected.

Notre Dame looked stoppable. The only time Ohio State looked stoppable was when they almost stopped themselves.

Notre Dame's defense just looks so much slower than Ohio State's offense.

The talent gap looks so glaringly obvious. There's no reason at all to believe they can get a stop unless Ohio State stops themselves. This could realistically be 21-7 at halftime, and there's no reason at all to watch the second half if it is.

They can't tackle. They're just not good enough to finish any plays.

Notre Dame has had to work so much harder every play than Ohio State.

I'm now feeling tentatively better, but I'd like one more stop that didn't rely on penalties. That last Notre Dame drive more got killed out of the gate by the false start than anything.

I was streaming the OT of Blues/Knights during that Notre Dame drive, it was more interesting.

Ohio State just needs to score and end this game already.

About 25% of OSU fans won't be happy with winning the National Championship because they lost to Michigan.

It's beyond absurd that the number is that high.

There is nothing quite like a rivalry loss to light a fire under your butts. Ryan Day knew he had to save his job and the players knew they had to redeem themselves too, for NFL chances and for their pride.

If they beat Michigan, are they national champs? Probably not tbh.

Also I still have no idea why this spread was so low. Most people expected the game to be over by halftime.

I am once again convinced Ryan Day just realized the regular season is for fucking around and seeing what works and what doesn't as long as you finish with 2 or fewer losses.

It's the only explanation other than a brain transplant for his playcalling during the Michigan game.

Notre Dame guy I know was hyped as fuck after the first drive when he'd normally say the exact same thing Seanchan did about it, about the inferior team getting that quick TD then dropping dead.

He then rode that hype all the way until the TD to make it 21-7, and turned the game off at 28-7.

The ND fans have surrendered.

But yeah I have zero idea why this spread was so low.

I feel like this was probably the opinion of most people going into this game. Ohio State just beat two teams that are clearly better than the Irish. If this game were actually close right now I'd heavily favor the Irish to win because Ohio State was clearly shitting the bed all over the place. Ohio State winning close was the one outcome that was virtually impossible.

Speaking of shitting the bed, TOSU just gave ND a huge boost with that blatant DPI.

We will see if the Irish can actually make something of this, but their current chances of winning are about 2.3% I'd guess.

Notre Dame is going to need to actually get some long completions if they're going to even tease making this a game. Long running-based drives aren't going to accomplish anything at this point.

According to ESPN OSU has a 99.1% chance to win, and it was 99.5% before that DPI.
