Was siding with House most of the way because I feel like the NCR should just mind their own fucking business, the Legion is irredeemably evil, and I can't be arsed to take over the world with Yes-Man.

But then he wanted me to massacre the Brotherhood of Steel and NCR was open to...not killing everybody, so I defected.

Though I did do a little bit of political assassination on the Great Kahns in the name of diplomacy. (Apparently there's a coup-less way around that but I must've missed it lol). Well...NCR fucked them in the end anyway so I guess it didn't make a difference >_>

For the final mission at the Dam I just stealth boy'd my way through the map and then talked-no-jutsu'd Lanius into fucking off. I wasn't even planning on doing a speech run but I had already maxed the stats I cared about and was just tossing points there in the end because I could.

Overall great game. Now just gotta wait for season 2 of the show to come out

Yeah, NCR is probably the most "good", even if they're flawed. You could play a good character with House or Yes Man, but yeah, you have to destroy the BoS I think. Though I didn't like having to murder House as NCR, either. (spoilers for non-House playthroughs)

Yeah for the sake of the mohave overall they're definitely the best. Really the only reason I wasn't with them from the beginning was because I didn't care for their apparent goals for New Vegas.

I guess from a gameplay stance it makes sense to give every faction a serious decision to go all in on, but yeah I didn't care for that either.

This is why I get the fan patch that helps clean up a lot more bugs.

Doesn't stop them entirely but the game is a lot better off for it.

It's a touch of immersion/realism that your brain-shot dude/dudette cannot just run and fight in a desert 24/7 without needing to gulp down some water and food now and thenand rest a little, too.
The ammo not being weightless, needing a doctor's bag to fix crippled limbs, and stimpaks healing over time instead of being instant, are additional layers of challenge, assuming you like your games to be challenging.

i think survival mode is actually really good, just uhhhh psshhh don't do dead money if you turn it on

Also if you have it throw away the vault 13 canteen cause it trivializes the water aspect
