Started the first episode since I saw the show was on Netflix, and decided to finally check it out. People said it was the best Scooby Doo show out of all the new ones that came out.

First episode seemed okay but didn't interest me much, perhaps the show is geared at a young audience and not for me. I was expecting something the caliber of The Looney Tunes Show, which completely blew me away.

I've been watching it lately as well. Not bad. I love this version of Fred, with his obsession for setting traps.

It gets better as it goes. The main appeal is its got plot lines between eps that are pretty good.
But dont get me wrong its still a kid show

I like the thought of evolving characters and I think it's the fact that they have subpersonalities like Fred's love for traps and the fact that there seems to be an overarching plot. I'd love for an ongoing series with that kind of level but I doubt we'll ever get it.

Mystery Incorporated is the best Scooby Doo series ever, followed up by the originals of course. One of the things I love is that Velma and Scooby has some serious sass. Throwing shade with no fucks given lol.

I didn't like that they portrayed both the girls as love struck to oblivious and/or unwilling guys. Like Shaggy could ever do better than Velma. Daphne being starry eyed for Fred seemed quite quaint, although this was in 2010 so not really that old comparatively...

Yeah that's a good idea and plus, giving Fred any kind of personality is a step up from his blank slate no personality in the original. Even live action scoobs attempted to do something.

Shaggy and Velma is really awkward, but they do eventually move on from it.

I have a soft spot for What's New Scooby Doo, because of that one episode where they unmask the monster and Velma's like "yo who tf is this?" and they resolve the mystery around the fact that they never met this person while Velma goes "NO THIS ISN'T HOW IT WORKS" and that ending has lived in my mind for like 2 decades since I first saw it.

It's a serialized show that continually builds on its arcs episode after episode. You might need to give it more than a single 22 minute episode to render judgment.

This. It just gets better and better. The first season is just a great Scooby Doo show but the second season when all the plot points start paying off it just becomes insanely good.
