what if they want to be influencers on a new app? This doesn't make sense unless they are retiring from the entire internet forever. They made a mistake

I remember some woman on TikTok was posting videos about Target shopping hauls, but she was actually stealing the stuff from Target.

Kind of a funny twist.

Or the people that showcased the Chase check glitch that caused 1000s of people to commit check fraud.

It's easier to assume every "influencer" is a liar that is... Trying to do as the name implies. Not sure why people just buy in immediately.

We grew up in a very strange period where we were always conditioned to assume everything on the internet is a lie and look into it somewhat to give it at least a once over.

For various reasons, other gens didn't really need to vet literally every source they come across. Now we have people unable to understand if something is a joke, sarcasm or serious. They never learned those skills.

Can you post an example of an influencer doing this? Or anyone can, really. I want to see.

Yeah, I legit do not understand how stupid gen z and alpha are with online. Millennials are more tech savvy, more cautious, and more internet literate but somehow later gens missed the ball on all those skills. How the fuck does that happen?

Millennials were given computers in the early days of home computing when everything was a lot more manual and you really had to understand things like file systems and permissions to use the computer effectively. You had to know what to do when a dos box popped up. Modern user experience based design tends to hide as much of that stuff as possible because they want complete control over what the user is doing and how they're doing it. This means the user never has to learn how to use the underlying systems, which also means they get locked into your ecosystem because they never learned how to use anything else.

Hell, we see that here, and our youngest is still late 20s. Though it's not as all-encompassing as it seems to be with the younger gens.

People post topics here based on misunderstanding obvious sarcasm and jokes constantly. Jumping on sensationalist stories that are not proven is also not incredibly uncommon here

I dont know why yall love to jump towards generational differences when they never actually apply the way you think
