You gotta jump through hoops. I go to the website of the venue, hit buy tickets. They take me to the website of one of the two companies in the subject title (they're the same company, but with totally different websites and apps, but your accounts on either one is linked with the other, it's the same account, but also not the same account, kinda like the trinity, jesus is god, but actually not really, but he is). I hit buy tickets, it wants me to download their app. I do, open app, hit sign in. It then redirects me to the webpage of the ticket company, asking me to sign in via browser, which is the same website that told me to go to the app to buy the tickets. I sign in. It then lets me in my account on the app, where I can buy the ticket. I now have access to the ticket. I can view the name of the show. I click view ticket. Message says to view the ticket, transfer it to your google wallet account.

*deep, heavy, sad sigh of impotence*

I apparently don't have google wallet. But have account. Download wallet. Go back to ticket app. Transfer ticket to wallet. "Make sure it's the account you want, because you can only transfer it one time." I transfer. Go back to wallet app. View ticket. Finally see the required barcode ticket in its final evolved form.

God DAMN was it always this complicated trying to go see a dumb rock band? Why is it this hard? I thought technology was supposed to make things simpler. Look at all that bullshit I just typed. Look at it. Just to buy a ticket. Why do they need so many different services and apps? Why can't it just be easy and simple?

Ticketing companies are all screwed.

I'm going through my own battle with Ticketek. They're one of the other big ones in Australia.

I bought a ticket to a big stadium wrestling event. Purposely chose a seat which was parallel to the ring, with a good view.

Tickets weren't selling and the company decided to change to a smaller venue. My ticket got transferred, however I got no choice in my new seat. Now it's aligned with one of the corners. Wrestling shows generally have the pillars supporting the light and sound rigging in line with the corners. So I'll have my view obscured.

Have tried to get a refund, but apparently it's not in their policy to provide refunds in these cases. Took about a month before they finally got back to me to say that.

Fine, I decide I don't want to go now and go to their official reselling site. My new ticket is apparently worth $0 and will not allow me to post it. Its been three weeks since I sent a request for them to fix it, gotten two responses which were flicking me from one team to the next.

I'm half expecting them not to get back to me before the event (it's next month) and be unable to recoup any of my ticket price.....

Try your credit card company that you bought the tickets with. See if they will give you a refund based on the company not giving you what you paid for.

You have to. You literally can't get the tickets without using the app.

That might be worth a shot. I'll see what I can do. Its a bank though (I've got a debt mastercard) so I might be up shit creek

I asked for a paper ticket once. It was 10 bucks extra. -_-

Needless to say, I haven't been to a live event in years. Only the lions making the superbowl will make me pay all that shit again.
