People holding on to and basing their lives around the belief systems of some random dudes from a couple thousand years ago in spite of the literal mountains of evidence all around us that disprove the foundational assertions of their beliefs

The fact that there are people who refuse to believe in anything spiritually because science cannot prove it to be true, but also believe that the Earth is flat because they read some conspiracy shit online.

They go on and on about their privacy, but willingly give it away to corporations. They don't even use vpns.

There's something kind of conceptually funny about the Trump cult.

Like, here's a man who lies regularly, whose inflated ego is second only to his desire for personal profit, and who is becoming increasingly incoherent as his brain steadily turns to mush. None of that is secret, we have tons of video and audio evidence of these things being objectively true.

And a huge swath of America looked and that and thought, he isn't just a good leader. He isn't fit merely to run ostensibly the greatest country in the world. No, this man, they've decided, is worthy of more devout worship than their own supposed god.

It'd be hilarious to watch if it weren't a double feature with the real-time collapse of human civilization.

I think they just hate darker skin colors and blue hair more than they like money and healthcare.

Maybe this is funny to me because I'm trying to justify my old ways because I still use and like cable tv but it amuses me I have friends that cut the cord but are now subscribed to like 10 different streaming services and spending damn near just as much as they were on cable but everything is fragmented and broken up and they need to launch different apps and know different logins and it seems like a hassle compared to me just turning the channel to whatever I want and flipping between HBO and ESPN or whatever I want and it takes a second rather than launching a completely different app and putting up with all of that bullshit.

America is going to be run into the ground by literal 4chan.
