Yep. Idc if the characters are gay or straight or white or black though. I just want a good story WITH good characters. Haven't seen that in awhile with the exception of Rogue One

I do not engage with the Star wars fandom in any meaningful capacity.

I just think the space wizards with lightsabers are neat

I'd like to think I don't. I'm not a bigot or racist and I'm not a purist, I look at each movie with a more nuanced take and realize that at the end of the day, Star Wars is about space wizards and laser swords.

Yes, I liked the prequels more than the sequels.

I call out the bad people that lie and say their issues are with the writing (I am not defending or criticizing the writing at this time), but then reveal their true colors when they complain about woke.

No. The prequels were terrible and the sequels were slightly-less terrible, but I never claimed that Jar-Jar 'raped my childhood,' I never badmouthed Jake Lloyd / Daisy Ridley / John Boyega, I never obsessed over Kathleen Kennedy getting fired, etc.

Yes because I insist that The Last Jedi was fine. Not perfect but had great ideas that should have been followed up upon. What they did to Rose's character in TROS is a crime.

Yes because I will forever argue that TLJ was a top tier sw movie, tRoS was hot garbage and should be retconned, and that most of the stuff Disney has made hasnt been bad.

I don't condone sociopathic asshole behavior like fans making personal and racist attacks against the actors and producers of any Star Wars movies. I liked John Boyega and Daisy Ridley.

Ahmed Best and Kelly Tran got the worst and deserved better.

But I'm still not gonna pretend that I don't enjoy the prequel trilogy over the sequels any day.

I've seen this movie twice and I really don't remember any, except the Rey/Tie Fighter one.

And I guess the climax sorta counts?

I was pretty into it as a kid but lost interest when the prequels came out. That the sequels aren't very good didn't bother me because I didn't like the prequels and hadn't paid attention to anything. I like the Rogue Squadron games and read some of the EU stuff, but Attack of the Clones just really killed it for me. I didn't even go to Revenge of the Sith in theaters. Just didn't care (also college me was super broke).

Im not. I stay away from it. As a kid who grew up with his dad reading him Star Wars novels at bedtime, Im completely done after The Last Jedi. I don't need anyone to agree with me, but it was completely lacking any vision. It said nothing while emptying out the universe.

I'm definitely not. I remember when George said there would only be 3 movies. Then again at 6, so anything afterwards I just see as bonus content, I can take it or leave it. Disney has flooded us with so much content that I haven't had the time or initiative to keep up anymore; I'll eventually catch up. I've really liked some of it (like the last couple seasons of Clone Wars) others not so much (sequel trilogy). I just move along, my childhood wasn't ruined. Who knows, there could still be some good stuff in the future if in the right hands. It's gotten so big that I don't think it's realistic for me to expect to like all of it.

Because we all know George Lucas finalized the script and screenplay for all six movies before ANH released.

Not toxic, but still disappointed with most things star wars since Disney. Rogue one and the early seasons of mandalorian are the only legit good things.

Pretty much. Anytime a young'un gripes about the Sequel Trilogy 'killing Star Wars' it immediately flashes the James Franco "First Time?" meme in my head. Only difference is that I did go see Revenge of the Sith in theaters, naively expecting it to stick the landing of the PT overall. Of course RotS failed at everything I hoped it would accomplish, creating a decades-long grudge to the point where I still can't suffer people praising it.

I feel like it's actually the only prequel that's aged well.

I didn't like it when I first watched the PT, but after a good decade and a half or so I rewatched it and--acting aside--I enjoyed it a lot more than I did the first time.

No? While I don't enjoy the Disney movies outside of Rogue One I don't bash those that do enjoy them. I'm Also not gonna go around and bash the movies either. I don't enjoy the prequel trilogy either, and those are the movies I grew up with. Well technically I grew up watching the original trilogy but yeah....the prequel trilogy was the Star Wars of the millennial generation, to which I'm a part of.

Nope. I actually watch the shows/movies before deciding if it is bad or not.

I could sue Wal-Mart because they stopped carrying a product I like, it doesn't make it a controversy.

I defend Episode 8 a lot because I find it to be really misunderstood and one of the better films thematically. Don't know if that makes me toxic or not.

I do think people underappreciated both 7 and 8. I think there was no shortage of legitimate complaints to make about them (especially 8) but I feel like people largely threw out the baby with the bathwater. Honestly, the scene where Kylo hesitates to kill his mom and someone else steals his kill is one of my favorite scenes in the property, for example. Along with the take off that ridiculous helmet scene.
