It's a game show, not everyone is gonna win. It actually has had more small prize winners than probably any other show. There's definitely a certain amount of emotional manipulation involved, but I'm pretty sure a lot of the crying and drama is encouraged by the directors the same way it is in any reality show. Like, no one complains about all the lying and backstabbing on survivor, it's probably the main reason most people watch. I checked online and apparently they only filmed for like 6-8 weeks, but people are already saying they love each other in the 3rd episode?
