I don't date due to I don't trust people

January. I thought it was great, we went to a local small coffee shop and talked and laughed for hours. We've known each other for a few months and I asked her out specifically because it seemed very obvious that we both really liked each other from every conversation we'd ever have.

She's giving me major mixed signals though. In person, she's amazing. Always very excited to see me, super positive. But over text she's probably the most distant person I've ever messaged.

The most recent example of this is that she told me the other day in person that she wants to go out again and that she'd text me, but three days passed and she didn't. I texted her yesterday asking if she's still wanting to meet and she messaged back within about an hour saying absolutely and asking all about my weekend. I responded with how my weekend was, asked her what's she's been up to, and then detailed a plan for our next date, and...nothing. No response in nearly 18 hours. She always seems to take forever to respond to things but this seems particularly strange.

If we do actually go out again, I think I need to find a way to bring this up in a constructive way, because it's really eating away at me. It's way too early for any talk of being exclusive but I think its reasonable to expect the energy we bring over text to at least be similar to the energy we bring in person.

The only date I've been on was with my already-girlfriend in 2015, when I first mt her in person for a few days after we'd been talking online for a few years and it had become more than friendship gradually. Took her to Neon Leon's Zydeco Steakhouse in Homosassa FL, great meal and a live guitarist and singer, who she passed a message to via waitress without my noticing, until he started doing Folsom Prison Blues and I realized the Johnny Cash was for me.

Made the relationship official two days later. But we see little of each other for reasons of distance and health issues for us both, and the last time we did in 2022, going out together was not going to happen.

I'm married and without kids, we go out to dinner or to do fun stuff all the time. Sunday we saw the new marvel movie then got Mexican for dinner

going to put before 2010 but in a lot of ways I had kinda sorta dates after then. I started a serious relationship in 2009 and was with her till 2021. We split and I haven't dated since because it's just best if I don't. Was it fun? Yes, that's why I stayed with her and even married in 2014. Still legally married but we have been apart since July of 21. Where we went on our first date, basically back to her house after I flew in which took a long time to find our way back but I didn't mind because it was just fun being with her. Also should note, we are still on good terms with each other and talk pretty much daily so at least there is that.

Never dated.

It's been, oh, two years, since I broke up with my then-girlfriend. That was rough, but now we're best friends and that feels right.

No luck romantically since, but I'm a busy girl these days, so whatevs.

About 2 years, my friend was seeing a girl and her friend liked me right away, starting talking to me and asking me questions, we went on a date, and it went well but shortly after she moved for a job so it didn't go too far

We got out without the kids in January at some point. Dropped Vivian with my mother-in-law, went to the grocery store that has a bar and live music, and got some food from the food truck there while relaxing with our drinks.

I feel like we've done something since Christmas, but I can't think of it off-hand and the last one I can remember for sure was going to see War of the Rohirrim in theatres before I went home for Christmas. That would have been mid-December.

I have been married for 20 years, so sometime before that.
