I donate less than 100$ but I also donate a lot of volunteer time to charities and raise money for charities as well.

That's pretty good. I really need to volunteer more, I've just been throwing money at shit like a lazy bum and not much else >_>

I'll put my family secret Santa present to the RSPCA or any animal related charity.

There will be a few other similar things or events through the year I'll also participate in and donate more. All animal stuff. Someone needs to look out for those little guys

Look i get it now that you're just messing around (even if i think its stupid personally but you do you) but this alone would've been enough to avoid all the unnecessary responses here.

This stuff just irks me because I cannot stand loaded questions and responses like that. This being the internet, it's obviously not always easy to tell when it's made in jest unless it's explicitly said to be.

But whatever, I don't want to derail this topic anymore than it already has been

To actually answer the poll, no. I unfortunately cannot afford to give to charity very much and even when I do, it's usually the rounding up to the nearest dollar type thing that some stores and even fast food places do but that's it otherwise and even this i don't always do. But yeah there's my answer.

I'm going to bed. It's been a long day for me

kinda? I'm O- blood type, so I donate that. I don't make much money, so it's hard to afford donating to charities, especially when idk which are trustworthy.

That's a good blood type to donate because it can go to everything. I haven't donated blood since college >_>

i try to donate blood regularly. i've donated old clothes to homeless shelters and thrift stores a few times. and i've taken canned and dried food stuff i've gotten from a regular food bank and don't really eat, and donated it to the pick-your-own foodbank i go to.

i would do more for charitable causes if i was able. i hope to be able to some day.

No. I have a hard time trusting charities, not knowing where my money is going. They could say its going to feed the homeless, they could also be lying through their teeth. I would rather help out someone who I know is struggling either financially or otherwise.

You dont have to donate money in order to help a charity out. Most of your local charities probably need volunteers, and things like food banks, animal shelters, or library programs are often looking for non-monetary donations (food, supplies, etc.). While not impossible, strictly speaking, it is quite difficult to embezzle chew toys and cat litter.

i volunteer for a few hours a week at a dog shelter. and at the end of the calendar year i distribute a few hundred dollars ($300 - $500) to various charities.

I give $5 a week to United way

I do, but not monthly.
