Great movie

Yes, but it just stinks that Jackie Chan didn't enjoy making the movies.

A classic, I love it.

No problem. Just Rush Hour.

I tried to rewatch it recently and it's pretty good but Chris Tucker is far more annoying than Jackie Chan is ass kicking.

One of the best movies I've ever seen. I have to watch it (and 2) at least once a year.

But the high points of 1 are arguably the high points of the entire series, 2 is just more consistent.

Yeah from what I understand, he didn't like working on the movie because he didn't really understand what the actors were saying and he didn't understand the American humor. But he did like working with Chris Tucker

There was a lot of things he disliked about the movie, but the biggest reason was that he was expecting more action and less talking (or the humor being more physical/slapstick as oppose to just spewing racist jokes). For some reason, Brett Ratner had some arbitrary rule about action scenes not lasting longer than 2 minutes and there had to be some break in between if the action scene was going to last longer. He made a movie in response to the western films he disliked making (the biggest ones he hated was Tuxedo and the Medallion) and yeah it was better in terms of choreography.

But yes, if it's anything, he did enjoy working with Chris Tucker and considers him a close friend. In fact, he still wants to make a Rush Hour 4 because the movies made soo much good money he usually uses the revenue he makes to make more Hong Kong films.

It was a movie called Gorgeous, which is an "alright" movie, but the choreography was something else. I really only knew this because it was on old DVD that Chan explained very briefly why he wanted to make this movie and it was in Mandarin (which luckily I had a cousin who can speak it fluently).
