People with Musk/Bezos wealth are not totally disconnected from anything.

That said he only owns single digits of Tesla, unlike the 90% of Twitter and 60% of SpaceX. So Teslas the only company he could be tossed from. And he would likely sell his remaining amount in a temper tantrum if he was.

Basically this. They still enabled this behavior for years. They watched as he became radicalized to the right on twitter in real time and just allowed him to shit all over himself for years, and were perfectly fine with it because it wasnt affecting their bottomline too badly.

How nice of them to put their foot down only after the company lost all its value and is now bottoming out on the global markets.

Purely a PR move to salvage the company. Fuck em.
