Is it the act of being touched, the sensation of it? Does the same apply to objects touching you? I generally hate when people touch me uninvited but also struggle with my body getting sensory overloaded from every single small thing which I think is an anxiety symptom for me. It might be worth talking to your PCP about this and see if they would potentially direct you to therapy if it becomes a long term thing --- 1312 // Queer Liberation, Not Assimilation https://www.last.fm/user/crushedaria ... Sounds like this: https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/21964-haphephobia-fear-of-being-touched Supposedly the exact cause isnt known but google says changes in brain chemistry or a developing medical issue can be a trigger, so if this just started happening out of nowhere you might want to seriously talk to a doctor. Accolon posted... Not sure. I think it started when I went on Aderall, but I've been off it for months nowI've never heard of Aderall doing that to people. Were there any other traumas or major life events going on around the same time? Are you under a lot of excess stress right now (dumb question, b/c aren't we all?)? Acute emotional or behavioral changes like this often have an underlying cause that can be addressed with therapy. If you've ever resisted therapy in the past out of fear that it wouldn't help, this is the exact kind of thing it's best at ameliorating. --- The simulacrum is never that which conceals the truth, it is the truth which conceals that there is none.
