Not sex humor, no, just generic fanservice humor. You know the kind: "oops, I fell onto this girl's breasts and then she slapped me across the city!" "lolol us teen boys are gonna peep on our female friends/classmates at the hot spring!" or the "I'm a girl who just lost her clothes and I'm so distressed and embarassed as the camera lingers on my body!" Like, I'm not anti-fanservice, I'm just tired of these tropes because it's always exactly the same, like it feels they're included out of obligation more than anything. Like, if you're gonna do the hot springs trope, do something interesting with it. Don't just reuse the same joke for the 18369th time. Or alternatively, just don't do it in the first place. Looking at you, Persona. So it irks me when I get rec'd a new anime and these tropes rear their ugly heads. It makes me roll my eyes. More original fanservice please. And more girls owning their sexuality instead of being meek/distressed about it. The latter just makes me feel sorry for them. There are very few anime comedies that vibe with me. Oddly enough, Hajime no Ippo a boxing anime has my favorite humor. It's very boys lockerroom type stuff that feels authentic. Whether they're calling out Ippo'a giant hog, tricking a friend into eating a giant bug, or when a series of lies results in them thinking one of them is a pedo and calling the cops on him. It's all pretty legit funny and reminds me of dumb shit we did to eachother in hs --- I don't believe in belts. There should be no ranking system for toughness. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Honestly, I think I outgrew it my teen years. Keep in mind though that I'm the type of person that despises Dragon Ball Super Goku's personality. Same with Asta from Black Clover and Sora in KH3. I've never outgrown it... One of my favorite Manga is Monster Musume... Which is nothing but fanservice... Especially That's not to say I don't like other non-fanservice stuff either... I read some absolute garbage just to waste time, but I dropped Fire Force halfway through the manga and don't even remember why. It can get old pretty fast. Well, I fully admit I like stuff like Monster Musume and I'll always have a soft spot for To Love Ru (Which has accidental perv moments that defy the laws of physics), but that's because the premise itself is interesting. Or things are just absolutely absurd to the point of ridiculousness. That being said, there's gotta be limits. Not every show needs fanservice, and a lot of the usual humor is honestly more annoying than anything else. The character who's entire personality is "horny" only brings a series down. Yes, including the grandfathered ones. Peaking on girls in the hotsprings is a trope that should have died after Love Hina ended, and some other tropes stopped being funny and started (Well, "started") being creepy as hell. --- Black Lives Matter. ~DYL~ (On mobile) ... Tbh, I've been finding myself less and less tolerant of it recently Some of my favorite shows (including Kill la Kill and FLCL, since they were already brought up) have lots of fanservice but some shows recently have been turning me off For example, I was willing to give Dandadan the benefit of the doubt that it was just a quick (albeit gross) way to pop Momo's Bankai in Episode 1... and then it happened again. And again. Hahari in 100 GFs is another example, she might honestly be, like, third in my least favorite anime characters of all time, she's such a bad character, she drags down other characters by association because I know that she is commonly featured with them --- Not changing this part until Saki Amamiya (or Isa Jo) get into Smash as a playable character Now watching: Ameku MD, 100 GFs S2, Medalist ... The rest of the time the aliens are trying to capture Okarun to acquire his "banana". The story mostly follows the pair's quest to recover Okarun's literal manhood.
