Ooh, that's me! Did about a month of community college and dropped out because it felt like high school all over again. Lucked into the legal field when a friend recommended me to her record retrieval company. From there, joined a couple of law firms until I got to my current one where I'm making more than I ever have with a really low workload. Most days are a step above "be a warm body around in case something happens."

Organic Chemistry was really what fucked my, then I found out that it is considered one of the hardest college courses available.
I took a bunch of chemistry classes, but organic Chemistry was so hard that I couldn't understand shit

This. I'm quite satisfied with my job and really have no desire to move up the ranks. I don't think I could ever motivate myself to get a graduate degree either. I had a hard enough time getting myself to actually do the work for undergrad.

Calculus sucked for me too and I only got through it since the test review questions were pretty much what was on the test. It was one of my lower grade letters.

Checking in. I couldn't manage college while also working, and didn't know what I wanted to do, anyway. I've worked labor jobs my whole life and honestly prefer it because I like keeping active at work, but damn the pay is garbage. So I married up. Still just working labor, but now I'm fun money/utilities while the husband pays the mortgage. A few times I've tried to monetize hobbies or interests, but that just makes the hobby feel like a job and I start to hate it.

I'm aware of how fortunate I am for it, but it does have me worry more about my job security than I ever have before. I was "live to work" for so long and recently switched to "work to live" before coming here and kind of took it too far.

I was on this same life road for a long time. I struggled to graduate from hs, got stuck in a dead end low paying manual labor job, kept failing my community college classes, living at my mom's place, and found it real hard to stay away from the bottle. Then one day I met my now wife and her two kids. I figured I was going nowhere fast all on my own so it wouldn't be so bad to pursue that relationship and see where it took me. We ended up moving in together and I took my role as a father very seriously, I guess cause I wanted to set an example and be a better father to my kids than my own father was to me. So with that in mind I wanted to make school feel important to my kids so they wouldn't be stuck with the shitty life that I was living. So I pushed my self to learn how to learn and do well in school, so I could qualify for a better job and get out of my shitty one. I started studying and doing my homework in front of my kids so they could see and familiarize themselves with what the effort looked like. I put myself through hell and finally managed to matriculate to University and get my bachelor's, and from there a better job. Now the little ones are in university and I'm just chilling while working as an accountant. I still wouldn't say I have much of a drive. My whole life I've sort of just did things with the hope they workout, and managed to accumulate some professional skills along the way.

So Idk guys, the best thing for me was to find something else that was more important than just myself.

Yeah, I've never had drive or serious ambitions. I don't really have any skills that I can market. I do have a job, but it's one that anyone could do.

I basically just exist. There's nothing more to me, just an empty life spent waiting for nothing.

I've never had ambition or drive to do anything in my life. I do/did have skills but I'd never want to do them for a job. The only thing I truly enjoy is not being apart of society. I've spent the last 25 years of my life doing absolutely nothing and I'm happy. I just wish I could get paid to do nothing. Disability would be nice, but I'm not really disabled so I don't feel right applying for it and wouldn't probably be denied anyway. UBI would be nice but who knows if that will ever happen in my lifetime.

I do what I do as a concession to the fact that I live in a capitalist hellscape, so I don't really care deeply about what I do. I just do it to be left alone and so something moderately creative with my time.

I'm not sure it's the same thing. I have professional skills, but no passion or ambition to do more.

Here..but I am "decent" with kids and if you have a degree and "decent" on working with kids, you can kinda put money in your bank account. If I didnt have a hiccup - my ex-gf, I would've have 100K in my bank account this year.

as for as ambitions...I am a pursuing actor. I have been on TV and national commercials...I'm currently in the running for a recurring role on a mid-level TV show and I hope I get it.

but I totally understand TC and everything he said.

Same-ish.

I fucked up by rushing into a college and a degree that was a crapshoot. Should have taken a year or so to build a nest egg and think about what I really should do.

Was never a highly motivated or passionate person so I lack interesting skills, hobbies, and goals.

My one saving grace is wanting to raise a family so thankfully I managed to force myself to be out there, connect with people, and eventually get to marriage.

That said I refuse to be the trope of living vicariously through my children so I let them be the persons they want to be and give them simple and useful wisdoms/skills here and there.
