It just occurred to me that with the second reboot, the show has now gone for more seasons that I don't consider worth watching compared to the ones I do. Which puts it in the same boat with The Simpsons, South Park, and everything Family Guy related as a "Sub 50%" show. It has a long way to go to catch The Simpsons, though. That one is like "Sub 12%" by this point. --- "Wall of Text'D!" --- oldskoolplayr76 "POwned again." --- blight family ... Copied to Clipboard!

Although they've been hit/miss since they were brought back in 2010 I think the newer HBO series have been good, although they'll never match the peak episodes. I certainly agree with The Simpsons, South Park & Family Guy jumping the shark years ago. --- 3DS Friend Code: 3480-2661-5116 https://www.twitch.tv/ohjoy90 ... Copied to Clipboard!

i think even in the weaker seasons futurama has had at least a few hits, so i'd hesitate to put it on the same level as simpsons or family guy. the first hulu season started out rough but ended up being pretty decent. --- http://i.imgur.com/ElACjJD.gifv "Most of the time, I have a whole lot more sperm inside me than most women do." - adjl ... Muscles posted... What South Park seasons would you say are good vs bad? 1-15 are all at least good imo even if the 15 was the start of the end It's harder for me to judge than it is for other shows (like with the Simpsons or Futurama, where I can definitely point to what I consider the last good season they had). With South Park, it's more like it went from being a show I watched every episode, to one where I'd occasionally miss a few, to where I'd only manage to catch a couple every season, to the point where now I haven't really deliberately watched in years. So there's sort of a spectrum somewhere in the middle where it kind of goes from being a good season with a couple weaker episodes to being a weaker season with a couple good episodes, and I can't really draw the line and say "this is where it dies". I might be willing to go back as far as Season 8 (though "Good Times with Weapons" might be one of my favorite episodes ever). There are definitely good episodes after that ("Make Love, Not Warcraft", "A History Channel Thanksgiving", "A Song of Ass and Fire", etc), but Season 8 might be the first time where I really started seeing episodes I just didn't like at all. Ironically, that's right around the same point that The Simpsons died for me as well. It was the Season 7 Treehouse of Horror where I first started wondering whether the show was running out of ideas, but there were still a few episodes here and there I still liked. But after Season 8 I was pretty much done with it. --- "Wall of Text'D!" --- oldskoolplayr76 "POwned again." --- blight family ... Copied to Clipboard!

Hulu picked it up & has aired 2 new seasons, should be another season coming out in autumn if it follows the pattern of the first 2. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Futurama_season_9 https://deadline.com/2023/11/futurama-renewed-two-more-seasons-hulu-1235590020/ --- 3DS Friend Code: 3480-2661-5116 https://www.twitch.tv/ohjoy90 ...
