looks like select Switch 1 to Switch 2 upgrades will be included with your Nintendo Switch Online subscription. Seems like it's the one's that boost visuals and performance like the Zeldas and Kirby and not the ones with new features like Super Mario Party Jamboree

Switch 2 will have a lot of games that people have been playing for months or years.

It will also allow you to purchase upgrade packs for original Switch games to make them look prettier.

New Mario Kart lets you just drive around if you want to for some reason.

DK Bananza would have been an all-timer hype announcement if it wasn't so heavily rumored and expected at this point. But the Odyssey team made the best game of like the last decade, so I fully expect another 10/10

People have been saying for MONTHS that tariffs were going to hurt game prices. Now people are surprised game prices are going up?

Especially since Nintendo has no clue what's going to happen week to week as things get more chaotic. This is probably a "safety" price more than anything.

I'd be more excited for Bananza is DK didn't look so freaking creepy. I hate his movie model but I guess I just have to get used to it being used everywhere now.

I don't love the new DK look but he is undeniably extremely expressive now with it so that's cool

That might be the one thing about this whole presentation I actually liked.

Seriously, the news about pricing is not encouraging, but it isn't the biggest deal for me. The lack of a Mario platformer, or anything on new Smash, or any new Zelda (which no one expected) isn't a huge deal either. I think a new Mario Kart, 3D Donkey Kong, and new FromSoft game is plenty to carry an important presentation like this... provided that stuff actually looked great. None of these games even looked GOOD.

Yeah that's lame that it's focused on multiplayer. It sounds like both games are actually single-player too but focused on co-op. Ehh, every developer is welcome to experiment. These are their creations, but I am definitely personally disappointed. We'll see what the reception is to playing these games solo before I entirely grieve.

Not enough people are talking about how $250 second-hand market Pokemon XD is finally going to be reasonably/legally playable.

"Happy" to see my entire timeline is pretty much people talking about how they've immediately lost interest in Duskblood.

God damn I wish they'd stop trying to shove this stuff.

If I ever do get a Switch 2 I'll be getting whatever third party controller doesn't include a C button.

Path of Radiance also just finally got it's mod tools in a workable state for good Romhacks a couple months ago (the last FE game to do so, somehow, wierd coding I guess), so in reality it might be too little too late for the community to care lol.

It's Miyazaki directed too unlike Nightreign. Damn I hope it works as either solo or co-op, but I am most likely just coping

Well it's cool that this exists at least. So basically there are 3 tiers.

Free: Improves playability mostly by virtue of being on a more powerful console (a la playing Xbone games on Series X)
$10: Improves playability and took more effort on behalf of the developer, with graphical/lighting work and such (BotW, TotK)
$20: Adds wholly new content (Mario Party Jamboree)

Wish it was like $5 for the second tier but Nintendo has done worse

games in general are probably under the cost inflation wise compared to almost any form of entertainment so it was only a matter of time I feel like.
