Canada is its own country. So is USA (Unless Trump decides to magically invest one can say).

But with the argument of making the world decentralized. People wouldnt invade, everybody would chill out!

What if there was a guy who made it into "Siberitopia". Kinda like Russian version of Greenland but different.

There are a lot of reasons, but a major one is that a lot of that territory is very sparsely populated. I think the number is something like 75% of the population is concentrated in 25% of the land area.

Then Russia would send troops in to shoot him.

The land is empty, but it does have resources.

Being sparsely populated makes it more likely that you'll be controlled by a larger nation that borders you, because it gives them the opportunity to gain significant advantages via minor effort.

Which is the same reason why the only real possibility of Russia losing most of its Western territory is if China eventually decides to try to claim it. Because they're the only ones with sufficient force to back such a claim.

But what if the guy has powers like Luffy from One Piece
(Ok i am kidding). But alternative history is interesting. I guess Red Alert 1 maybe minus hollywood spoofs like Tanya is the most realistic depiction of war in my view.
