You can play them in the order of the timeline if you want, but it's not like playing them in the order of release spoils anything signficant. If anything, the later games sometimes reference the earlier ones or adds new lore/retcons stuff. The story after MGS3 kind of becomes nonsense in general in my opinion, Metal Gear Rising actually makes sense in comparison. --- YOU COULDN'T AFFORD IT! ... Copied to Clipboard!

The original Metal Gear games really aren't worth it. Otherwise I agree with the order you put. MGS4 is a mess but it deserves respect for wrapping up the series the way it did. --- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XiCtAUrZbUk -- Defeating the Running Man of Ocarina of Time in a race since 01/17/2009. -- ... faramir77 posted... The original Metal Gear games really aren't worth it. MG1 can be a bit of a pain to get through, but MG2 is absolutely worth it. I would argue it is better then MGS. --- I feel like I need to put something here, or else I am one of those weird people who think that having no signature is a character trait. ... what bothers me about Solid Snake games is that they are basically the same plot, but different settings. --- *flops* ... Copied to Clipboard!
