If both are free then I'd probably just take the dinner with her as it's likely to be significantly better food than some crappy fast food.

I couldn't care less about her being there though.

I gave up eating out in 2017 and don't eat out, but especially fast food would be problematic. I don't give a shit about Beyonce and don't trust other people preparing my food and only eat at home so I guess neither. Can't I just choose to get some groceries equal to the value of dinner with her and just cook for myself at home?

I have no particular interest in Beyonce, but I'm not going to turn down a nice meal. There are many posh restaurants around DC that I'd like to try that are unrealistically expensive. The main issue would be if she wanted me to discuss my feelings about her music because I just don't have opinions on it and wouldn't be able to fake any level of engagement. I'd be happy to make anodyne conversation on some neutral topic other than her career, I'd be just fine if she was a really self-centered person and wanted to talk about herself all night, just so long as I'm not carrying my weight in a conversation on a topic I know nothing about.

It would be weird if I became the subject of paparazzi speculation however. Who is this schlub and what is he doing having dinner with Beyonce?
