I don't care either way

Why do nerds always get caught up on the details?
Michael Jordan is both the greatest and most overrated basketball player of all time.

Swtor initially only had straight romances, which was weird. Then to compensate they made every single romance since player based and I think its dumb.

I'm fine with romanceable characters all being playersexual. If you're going through the first time, it shouldn't seem too unrealistic unless every character is romanceable and poorly written. (Also if the world has dragons and sorcerers and goat people in it, I don't see a problem with it also having different rates of bisexuality. It's already not earth, the culture is going to be different in many ways.) It's annoying if all the romanceable characters are all hypersensitive to anything you do and immediately want to bang you just cuz you wanted to be nice, but that's a problem with the writing, and it's annoying even if it's only a subset of the romance pool.

Also it sucks when you have like five different straight options and maaaybe one or two gay/bi ones. That's also a choice with writing rather than an inherent flaw in set sexualities, but it seems like a common one.

Everyone pan. Dorian from DA I is the only instance where set sexuality added anything for me, more often its just a pointless limitation.

Is it realistic? No. But neither are things like dragons or magic and i like those as well.

DAI is one where the orientation of specific characters is less of a problem because there's a fuckload of options. Dorian and Sera are exclusive to men and women respectively, ditto for Cassandra and Blackwall (or maybe Cullen, I forget but also fuck Cullen), then other options are more pan.

Compare that to something like original Baldur's Gate II where there are 3 heterosexual women and one heterosexual man.

And the man's a pretentious dumbass.
