Almost, one time. But it was bullshit and I talked my way out of it easily enough. --- The food here is terrible. My steak was so tough it attacked my coffee and the coffee was too weak to defend itself. ... Copied to Clipboard!

divot1338 posted... Lol. Were you 16 or 17 at the time?I was 15. And honestly, I don't even remember what it was about. archizzy posted... You do you for real and I'm not trying to dogpile on you but being fired 4 times in 30 years still sounds pretty bad. Now if the context was a restructuring or something it would make more sense but you go on to point out that at least 3 of the 4 were legitimate firings. The writing/goofing off might be a little extreme to go straight to a firing but repeatedly being late and then just a straight up no show are totally legit firings.TBF, the firings were in the space of about 3-4 years when I was a lazy fuck, and even up to the sixth job was only about 5 years after the first. I just had to grow up, I think. --- I am the infinite stairwell between integers. ... Copied to Clipboard!

It was technically a layoff (from a tech company) but they tried to make it about performance when they did it, which was very frustrating. when I was hired I was told if I met certain metrics they would give me a raise to the salary I had asked for ($5k more). I met with my direct manager weekly who told me I was on track to get the raise every week. Then at the end of the year told me no one was getting raises (or bonuses) because of company performance they had HR check ins where I expressed my frustrations, and then within two weeks of the new year (the day after I turned in the project I had been working on) they let me go but in the firing meeting they told me a bunch of bullshit like I didnt meet this metric I didnt do that and it was all stuff that was either out of my hands or that my boss had told me was just fine. basically threw me under the bus all good though, by that point I had seen the writing on my wall and was already well on my way on my job search. Found a new job making 25% more and got to take a 2 month vacation with severance --- BLACK LIVES MATTER Games: http://backloggery.com/wrldindstries302 \\ Music: http://www.last.fm/user/DrMorberg/ ... Yes A client who was already pissed off due to outside factors mistakenly thought I'd fallen asleep on the job because I was slouching. I wasn't asleep. However it was my second offense so I got fired. The first one was mostly on me. I was goofing off and tossing screwdrivers into cardboard on downtime. It startled an old lady and she reported me.. --- The succotash is suffering. Comic Artist ... Copied to Clipboard!
