Just started Act 3 apparently. Was taken kind of by surprise, felt like I'd barely started the main story lol

Also: when's the best time to do Phantom Liberty? I started it, but it felt kinda wacky to do that whole thing where I was in the story.

Act 3 is the point of no return. If you see the mission Nocturne Op551, that's one of the endings. You can go to Rogue or Panam for a couple variations on the ending, but that's it.

Narratively PL should have been done when it first opens up after you do the Voodoo Boys quest chain, but there's stuff in there that doesn't entirely make sense at that point in the story, so now is the second best option.

Starting that mission is the point of no return, not Act 3 itself. You still have time to finish up everything else.

And I find Phantom Liberty works best as an Act 3 mission.

The point of no return tells you in a giant unmissable menu that it the point of no return and to do anything else you want first.

So I can still unlock other endings?

I can't remember the name of the mission I got, but I don't think it was Nocturne Op551. The last thing I did was the parade and I got the mission to meet Hanako at Embers(?). I'd already met Alt and Hellman.

Meeting Hanako is the "point of no return" mission so as long as you don't do that, you are free to complete everything else. The game will also let you know when you reach the point of no return.

Oh, okay, good.

I get the vibe that Alt has an ending and I'm definitely more interested in that one than this other one.

Yeah i just got to that point as well and am finishing all the side quests
