1st trial was a mistral

Today 2nd trial found her not guilty

They tried to pin the death of her cop boyfriend on her but he was probably murdered by his coworkers and then they tried to frame her

A lot of weird stuff behind his death and the investigation that hints at that

Anyway she's finally done. The court was really wrong to go after her as hard as they did. Now they all look like assholes

Wait, was this national? I know it is a huge deal in my state but I didn't know it was big outside. I never hear about it from anyone outside of MA.

yeah it got a lot of attention.

I watched the docu-series, that I *think* was made by her and her team(I'm trying to verify but google is being unhelpful), but it shifted my opinion from her probably being guilty to her either being innocent, or the prosecution having no real case. And they had no real evidence, and no witnesses, and almost every expert who analyzed the case and testified said under oath that they couldn't actually back up the prosecution's case.

And they didn't even put the lead investigator on the stand in the second trial, because he's been fired for misconduct, and made himself look awful in the worst way in the first trial.

I haven't been following this too closely, but I'm glad she got a not guilty verdict based on the bits and pieces that I've heard about it

I don't know every detail but it sure sounds like a bunch of cops beat the piss out of a fellow cop and left him out in the snow to die, then engaged in some extremely suspect behavior afterward to cover themselves

Interesting. Especially since I am super super close to where this happened, I had no idea of the scope.

There is also a theory about a dog bite. The suspected dog got mysteriously removed from the home before it could be looked at. But yea, the common theory is that some fellow cop was mad at the victim and either on purpose or by accident beat the shit out of him and went too far

I read that one guy drove out to a military base and disposed of his SIM card in multiple dumpsters, one day before a court order was issued for their phones. Highly likely he was tipped off.

they also sold the house, but supposedly they were planning on doing that

but selling a house gives you a good excuse to tear up and redo whole rooms

One of the parts that I find most insane is that the cops never went inside the house during the investigation. And I think the homeowners stayed inside. Never came out or talked to the cops even though a dead body was found on their front lawn
