Didn't these people willingly spread fake rumors about his kids and got CPS called on him? Doesn't seem like a comparable situation to fuckin Bold Guy

That's not what he's suing them for

He's suing them for "reacting" to his entire 2 hour long video while openly stating they are doing it intentionally to take away views from him. One of the 3 pretty much did nothing but smoke the entire video.

Which is exactly the same reason Bold Guy sued H3H3 although H3H3's case is a lot stronger since H3H3's video was edited and clearly transformative.

Whether or not these 3's reactions violated copyright is gonna be what the lawsuit is about.

Denims absolutely did no such thing. They weren't even fake rumors. Ethan himself talked about how his kids got sick from his dogs on his own fucking show. He has stated himself that he has no idea who called CPS or why they did it. There is absolutely no reason whatsoever than anyone should believe any of these people had anything to do with it.

I don't know or care to know anything about these cases, but as we have learned time and again youtubers should keep their legal issues private, not make content out of them.

That's easy to say when your income isn't wrapped up in making videos.

You're basically saying "If you sue someone or get sued and that takes up all of your time, you shouldn't be allowed to earn any money"

He retracted the specific semantics of it to avoid legal repercussions. But she absolutely did imply he gave his kids a disease due to neglect and that led directly to a cps call

Legal repercussions of defamation for accusing her of encouraging her audience to call CPS, and blaming her for the CPS call. Both of which are categorically false. Ethan himself talked about how his kids got sick from his dogs. Literally anyone could call in a tip to CPS on that basis, and Ethan has zero reason to think it was Denims or anyone watching her streams. He's flat-out admitted that he doesn't know who called them.

And to be frank, his retraction was pathetic and if Denims really wanted to push the issue, she could have. He retracted his comments but also just flat-out denied that he made the accusations at all, which is demonstrably false. He's a real slime ball.

I used to really enjoy H3H3, but by the time he got into doing the podcast I had completely drifted off. After a while I started seeing little bits of this and that, that made me glad I floated away when I did.

I legit can't tell if this dude is serious or purposefully saying the dumbest takes imaginable as a joke.

Either way it's weird.

I'm no expert on this subject but to me them saying "I want to take views away from Ethan" while douchey, doesn't really effect whether or not it infringes copyright. The question is whether or not their vids are transformative.

I feel like that part is just Ethan being understandably upset that people are jerks to him rather than strong legal points.
