As much as it was sad to say goodbye to the old cat, her food and arthritis meds alone were costing C$210 a month, plus a ton of other meds (she had hyperthyroidism, kidney disease, hypertension, and a bunch of secondary issues stemming from those) and blood work that were less regular, plus periodic vet visits because something was more acutely wrong... old pets are expensive. --- This is my signature. And as long as there is breath in my body and I continue to have any say in my own destiny, it will continue to be 0 cats forever. For years I had 1 dog, and I absolutely loved that dog to death, but she died a little more than a decade ago, and I've avoided getting a new dog since then for multiple reasons (I mostly get my dog fix just by petting and giving treats to my best friend's dog whenever I'm at his place). That might change soon, because my nephew has asked if he could move in with me for a bit, and he asked what my policy on pets was.
