I like funny skeleton memes and my favourite is the one where the 3D model of the skull doots his trumpet. it became one of the two online handles I currently use (sometimes with s at the end)

I discovered b8 through discord (and I'm a mega lurker in that discord as just skulltrumpet I say nothing but I'm usually checking posts!) so it just made sense to use that as my name here too.

I've mentioned the origin of my username plenty of times. My paternal grandfather would always call me "Nicholas Wicklebee" (spelling may vary but I chose this spelling). I never knew why, nor did I care at the time. There came a point where I mentioned that name in a Junior High classroom, it spread around the school, and my grandfather passed later that year. So I turned it into my official nickname and wore the name with pride.

Then I got that account banned on GameFAQs and use Wickiebee now. But capitalize the i so it looks still like an L.

As for this mobile account. I've always had a soft spot for kid characters, girls would help trigger my older sibling energy since I'm the younger of two brothers. Used to say I was a "pure-hearted lolicon" and then realized that there is no purity to calling myself a lolicon. Still wanted my mobile account to be named after a loli character that I liked. Used to be Relm_Arrowny before I watched the anime Gate. Second season has Sherry Tueli whose journey through the show was sad, as the daughter of a noble family who gets raided. She escapes and searches for a man she admired significantly. While I have favorites ahead of her, I kept this account since she was vague enough that I got an account without weird spellings or anything. (I believe my Relm was a Reim but can't be certain anymore).

Way back in the day on some random flyer they used to give you random words smashed together for a password or username or something like that. May have been like a free AoL disc or something similar. It was in front of me when I made the account so just went with it because I couldn't think of anything better and whatever name I was using on others sites was taken. I then consolidated it to Shattered from ShatteredElysium when they said it was too long

Not sure how many people pop back into a topic after they've made their origin post but i just really wanted to give a gigantic THANK YOU to everybody who's contributed for having done so and hey, if you haven't posted yet it's never too late (until it purges I guess, lol)

kateee made this topic after I was talking about how this was something I'd always wanted to do but I never get around to making 99% of the topics I think of making. Lots of users I've wondered about and it's not like you can ask someone in a completely unrelated topic "hey, why are you named this way", or sending them unsolicited PMs which uh, isn't also the right way to go... so the fact there was this much participation really makes me happy.

I still need to read through the entire topic & everyone's posts (did I mention I'm a horrific procrastinator) and I'll probably @ some people when I do because my first scan of page 1 caught someone with a great reference that I completely get/understood so hopefully they'll appreciate that, lol.

Of course I don't have too exciting a contribution to make, I've always had zero originality for online usernames so given that Martin was taken I just tacked on my favourite game afterwards. And the rest is history...

I switched a lot of my accounts to AriaOfEffect but here I wanted to keep a nod to my B8 history

Before THAT, I thought I was a LotR megafan, and Tom Bombadil was my favorite (I have met actual LotR megafans since, I am not one)

also heck yea Heroic Metool sighting! I think HM isn't here much and maybe doesn't have that account anymore, but I remember for a while everybody had a Heroic ____ alt. Mine was Heroic Jigglypuff! I still have heroic accounts elsewhere, actually- I really liked that fad

Years ago I was obsessed with FFVI. I'm trying to remember exactly where I coined Haste2, but it was probably some Nintendo forum that no longer exists. Haste2 is a magic spell in FFVI, and I thought it had a cool animation.

I was user Raizen91 on here, but I did some stupid shit and got banned. I had picked Raizen91 because the Three Kings Saga of YYH was just getting released on DVD and I thought Raizen was cool

There were bonus features on those YYH DVDs that were really half-assed, including a feature called "name translations." It translated Raizen as "Zen of Thunder" which I thought was the coolest thing I had ever heard

So after the Raizen91 ban, I took the next natural step and now I have the coolest username on this website

Grew up in a religious household, got into philosophy as a teen, tried to be edgy.

The origin of darkx(with all the numbers) is that the account was originally my brother's, which he used to make like 2 posts, then let me take when my main at the time got banned. Every name he tried kept coming up as taken so he finally got frustrated and just typed a bunch of random numbers at the end.

simply my initials + "gamer" + the combined age of my family when I created a Yahoo account at 13. then just never bothered changing it when I made accounts for other websites.

I initially joined gamefaqs to post on the message board for Dragon Warrior Monsters (GBC). GoldSlime was my favorite monster in the game. The numbers are my birthday.

Current username is a reference from SpongeBob and idk why I've rolled with this account for so long but here we are.

My original account Dranze got banned but it was based on my favorite Beyblase Dranzer. MarioSuperstar is just what I see when I win Mario Party.
