You must not watch sports. Look at tennis for example- every top player went pro at like 14. My main sport now is pickleball and by the most dominant player in history is ALW- she went pro at like 14 and is currently 18

The only sports where you don't see teenagers are contact sports like football. But even then there are exceptions like one of the top rugby players went pro at 13
