That's pretty neat. I regularly add copepods to my saltwater fish tank. They are tiny janitors that do a great job keeping algae in check, plus some fish eat them.

They're nearly invisible to the naked eye, so that means you can still see them. Does that mean you can see NY tap water wriggling around in certain lighting conditions?

You are best off not looking too close at your unfiltered tap water. There is a lot of stuff that is nearly invisible that you can spot.
