Its been uncovered that Johan Forsells 17-year old son is a member of the neo-Nazi youth organisation Aktiv Klubb Sverige.

Johan himself is carrying out increasingly tough immigration policies. He also loves to talk about parental responsibility when someones children commit crimes or similar. The hypocrisy.

These fuckers are bringing the country down. September 2026 cant come soon enough.

Its just the fact that, decades of gradual improvement, the world decided to throw it away within a few years. There was ever increasing hope just 10 years ago. Now casually thrown out the window like it never happened.

And we're not experiencing something extreme like a Great Depression or world war. Just hatred is something that got welcomed back.

I can add that we have a Right-wing government and this Minister is a Conservative. They have been in office since October 2022.

Imagine the (justified) outrage if a Socialdemocratic Minister had a kid who joined some form of extremist organisation?

The big news media still haven't released names or even what gender the minister is.

Too many people have been living comfortably and taking for granted the rights that were fought and died over.

On the social media front, there are a lot of bad actors manipulating algorithms to sow division and disrupt their geopolitical rivals.

I agree in general with not wanting an Americanization of our politics, but there are exceptions when the actions of family members of politicians matter. And as you say, he is acting very high and mighty regarding other peoples kids which makes this a political issue.

I disagree that theyd usually be responsible for what their adult (or near adult) kids do. However, when his whole shtick is parental responsibility, that changes the equation a bit

Afaik, Rightwing is gaining traction since immigration. Anti-immigration is a stance that is growing strong in most developed countries in the West.

That sucks, thats one of the good countries.

Seen a couple articles about these sorts of clubs in the US. They infiltrate already existing sports clubs and karate academies or invite people to join up for innocent sounding sports stuff, then suddenly the SS flags start going up and the indoctrination begins.

He's pathetic.

To the left: 13-year old from the hood shall be classified as an adult and put in jail. It shall be possible to evict and/or deport the parents.

To the right: 17-year old son of a minister who goes full Nazi is of course a child. We all know how children can be. No measures taken.

But the kid is apparently older than 15 and has been active in these groups until caught. So it is not some thing in the past.

We havent had new polling after this scandal erupted, since its Summer and things go more slowly.

But the Right-wing coalition government (SD, M, KD and L) is in trouble in polling from earlier in June. The four opposition parties poll 196 seats vs 153 for the government. 175 is a majority. So the Socialdemocrats, Greens and Far-Left could even unhook the neoliberal Center party and it would be 175.

Edit: I should add that the current make up of Riksdagen has 176 MPs for the government and 173 for the opposition. So this poll is a big potential loss of seats.
