So where did you come up with your username? Former name was OneEyedShinobi on my cringe Dragon Marked for Death days. It's now Falgos from Machine Robo.

A random and obscure quote from HBOs OZ

BladeX, my original GameFAQs username back in 1999 or 2000 during my later years of school, was based off some game I made in BASIC on my old clunker home PC. Blade (well, BLADE) was the original program name, and it had a number of revisions to add content, finally ending with X after I went past 9.

That account was purged during the merger with GameSpot since I didn't have internet access after finishing schooling. So when I returned and couldn't use BladeX, I ended up adding Delta to my name.

For those curious, the game was a battle system based on the Fighting Fantasy gamebooks, where you would 'roll dice' to get your starting stats then fight a number of randomised enemies, ending with a dragon which would tend towards high stats no matter what. Nothing fancy, and probably put together poorly since I was self taught with only one book of BASIC games for micro PCs (probably one of the Usborne Computers range, but it was years ago), but it was fun to work on.

It actually is Revelation. The original Greek title is (apokalypsis), which is singular. The word means "revelation", but it's also the origin of the English word "apocalypse".

A couple of my friends and I thought those "Caillou Gets Grounded" videos were hilarious, and the text-to-speech voices were constantly fucking up Caillou's name as stuff like "K-I-U" or "Kaylew."

We wrote a book together that never made it past the first page, and my friend spelled it out as "Kallo." I thought the name sounded cool, so I just tweaked the pronunciation by making the A into the sound used for words like "apple."

Then I added "Fox" because one of my other friends had become a furry around that time, and had a similar online handle with the word "wolf." The 34 also came from that.

On the palace plaza in Quest for Glory 2, a Katta jeweler by the name of Sashanan has his shop. From him you eventually obtain the Katta pin that remains in your inventory in QFG3, is lost in transit in 4, but given back to you in Dragonfire (= 5).

My last name and first initial of my first name. I had to put an extra W on gamefaqs because the username was already taken. As for the numbers? The day of a month I was born on. I believe the first time I started using "wwinterj" was when creating a hotmail email address decades ago so I have used some kind of variation with other things since.

Back when I first made my account about 20 years ago, Nintendo and Sega were my favorite developers. To show that combination, I went with Tails (my favorite Sonic character) and 64 (based on the N64). I wouldn't have gone with Tails today, but he's still a fun character.

Based on the historical 7th-century Chinese Buddhist monk Xuanzang, who lived during the Early Tang period. He made the long, arduous journey overland to India via the Silk Road to learn the language and study Buddhist texts that weren't available in China. He returned with copies of many influential Buddhist works that hadn't yet spread to China and spent the rest of his life translating them into Chinese. IIRC.

Clearly, more people need to read A Journey to the West.
