I feel like video games were never meant to be an "all-you-can-eat buffet". Having limitations helps instill more enthusiasm for what you've got than having access to everything and ending up in a situation where nothing sounds good, even if you were otherwise in the mood for it.

Thats why if a flash kart comes with bootlegs!

I doubt many people can claim to have played everything that was available to them at the time when they have access to it in the here and now without any restriction other than time.

The problem creeps in when it comes time to choose what you're "really feeling" when faced with the wall of game titles and thinking through what picking the game you're currently highlighting would involve once you got to playing it.

I had this problem recently when I went to a "retro" (read: emulators in cheap boxes and ****ty arcade sticks) arcade.

it does sound like you would want to play something else altogether then, or do something else like read a book.
