Finally bought Phantom Liberty back during the steam summer sale, this gonk game has consumed every weekend I've had since.

But the end is in sight. I finally got "Meet Hanako At Embers" so I'll hopefully be done soon >_>

Ita been a slow burn for me because of the sheer scope of it but im finally starting to get into it. So many systems.

After this I need a nice simple one note game to play.

Is it really that good now?

It just looks like a shooting game now. Whats the deal with customizable options? Can you buy apartments? Make money? Build an empire?

Are there mini games like Yakuza, where you can build a gang or gain reputation? Unlock more stuff like shops and restaurants?

What about the RPG aspect?

Recently started a 3rd playthrough and am being a total asshole this time. Panam and Judy won't talk to me anymore. River should have learned to watch where he was walking. But Fingers is my buddy.

I started playing for the first time in the begining of June. I wish the main story was longer. Now I'm just doing races and wondering around trying to stretch it out.

Its probably one of the next couple of games Ill play, but I know very little about it going in.

I know:
It had a launch that many thought was disastrous but got patched and people like it better now.
Keanu Reeves is in it.
You can customise your genitals.

And Ill happily admit that Im wrong about any of those things.

Its like fallout but the world is just a capitalistic dystopia rather thsn post nuclear apocalypse, and without Bethesda jank

Have you even watched Edge Runners?

I was ready to dive back into it a few months ago, but then I heard there was going to be a new patch. So I thought I'd wait. But that patch got delayed, so I should have just started when I was ready. I'm too unmotivated to play most games unfortunately.

I played the game at launch, but maybe only like a 1/4 of it at most. I wanted to wait for a new PC to really get into it. Now I have the new PC at least.

Im like 40 hours in. Its much better than when it initially launched.

Did you go with Penis 1 or Penis 2?

In all seriousness, I thought this about the tabletop game for a second. I've never played it my myself but Ive watched a friend play it for a few hours a couple years ago.

His game design professor kept hammering it in that was the new superman 64, so he was morbidly curious.

We were mesmerized by how well presented everything was.

Biggest thing I wanted changed was I wanted random jobs from the Mr. Johnsons (Shadowrun term) like you get in Shadowrun for Sega Genesis. I hate that all the random jobs are just points on a map that you approach to initiate and that there is a finite amount. I want to be able to go to a Mr. Johnsons location to ask about jobs and I want to have options as to which job I take.

I know I'm complaining about the mission type most people just call fetch quests and ignore completely and seems like such a minor gripe but it would have made a huge difference for me.

I played it for the first time recently and it's really good. First time in a long time I've played a game and immediately wanted to replay it with a different build.

You can technically do that as soon as it appears, but it appears at the beginning of Act 3.

There's a whole-ass potential romance arc that doesn't even start until then.

Just remember to save before an important event in Phantom Liberty, as it will lock you into a specific ending.

enjoy. make sure to save often, there are still game-breaking glitches present

Can't wait to play this,I'm forcing myself to get through Fall out new vegas and the witcher 3 first before I get to cyberpunk.

I've heard nothing but good things about it now and it looks like the type of game I've been in the mood to play.

You can play melee, netrunner, shooter, lean into stealth, speed or power. I'm not a huge fan of how two stats are kind of necessary in every build, but... customization is pretty good. You can buy apartments, making money is pointless as you'll be swimming in money if you do sidequests. No empire building.

Nope. There are arcade games, and some very isolated instances of reputation changing mission options.

What about the RPG aspect?

Depends on what you mean. RPGs as in character building or role-playing? The game has a good bit of both, although not as much freedom or consequence as a lot of other games. The ending has a good bit of variety depending on your choices.

I think I still have a save right before the first big choice, but I'm not in a hurry to do it again.

I ended up siding with Songbird the whole way through. RIP Idris Elba >_>

My only gripe with that scene?

They don't have Meyers make fun of V for yelling "RUST IN PISS, SHITBOT" as the pre-mortem one-liner.

Go play Dragon Age Inquisition and let us know if you feel the same way. Talk to somebody at a base camp and they'll give you some sort of mini-mission to go do. They repeat way too much, and get handed out indefinitely, which ruins it for people who like having a clean quest log.
