I really need to stop using these "two large meals" coupons

Sure, it's nice to have an extra sandwich and drink for tomorrow, but if I don't eat BOTH large fries in one sitting they may as well go right into the trash

honestly i can understand that too, when i used to eat fast food i always ate fries first. its been years since and now i want some fries...

Mcdonalds fries are basically inedible by the time you get them home.

One of the reasons I got an air fryer.

I always eat the fries first. Maybe take a bite of the sandwich in between but every last fry is gone by the time I finish the rest of the meal. No matter how you reheat them they're never the same.

That's why I stopped ordering large fries because I can never finish all of it before it gets cold.

Don't bother with the microwave, brother

They dont really survive long enough to get cold for me but it is one of the bigger drop offs for foods from hot to cold yeah.

Then don't let them dry out

microwaves fuck up crispy coatings in anything you use them on. when you microwave something the moisture in the food starts steaming off, that steam softens crispy outer layers.

Microwave only works by doing stuff to the moisture in the food drawing it out and heating it up, making everything all soggy. Like all the water in the MIDDLE of the food steams up and clings to the outside. Conduction heating like toaster ovens uses actual heat waves and bakes it from the outside.

Even the taste is noticeably different from baking a potato in a microwave vs an oven.

I really dont mind microwaved fries, sometimes even cold. To me some food just taste better cold, like a burger or a meatloaf.

a cold grilled burger is delightful.

I love cold fries. Leftover fries from the fridge are superior to reheated.

I like microwaved fries.

I wonder if you can try freezing then air frying them? I dont like In-N-Out fries, but it was only recently that I learned that they dont rinse the starch, freeze or double fry them, which is likely why.

Well, I think they're fine when they're "cold" as in they've cooled to room temperature. Obviously they're better fresh, but what isn't?

They only start getting problematic as far as I'm concerned when you put em in the fridge.
