What changed their minds was CBS bowing down to Trump, first with the 60 minutes law suit than then with Colbert. As well as their own problems securing a new contract. Seems they said screw it and went scorched earth on paramount and Trump. Like they are asking for the President to sue paramount over this.

I wonder what the episode was like before it got some of the quickest treatment since Elian Gonzales or the election episodes.

It was amusing how they were very 'global warming isn't real!' Al Gore is crazy for believing in Man-Bear-Pig! Decades later 'oh uh...huh I guess um global warming was real.' Man-Bear-Pig shows up at last and mauls people. Though I think it has changed to climate change now. Egg on your faces Matt and Trey!

As centrists Parker and Stone change their main target based on which way the pendulum is swinging. They can tell that it's swinging to the right that once again it's the conservatives in control. So really I think this focus will be the new status quo.
