Im not into it but had a great aunt and a great grandma that were heavily into it and experts. By the way a movie I really like called The Big Year from 15 years ago with Jack Black, Owen Wilson, and Steve Martin based on a true story about birding is quite good. And they all play mostly a serious non comedic role. Its honestly a pretty cool movie. I recommend watching it. The bird aspect is really interesting and you see some cool stuff.

Those ones are called Blue Jays. My favorite thing about Blue Jays is their related to crows (they're a Corvid family bird). My least favorite thing about them is they attack Robin nests and eat the babies.

Tangentially related: the Merlin Bird ID app is neat. Free, uses the microphone to record bird sounds nearby and tell which birds they are.

And I've been using reddit all this time... this app is very neat! It feels like it could be a real life pokemon go
