Not counting cons, I've met a few local comedians. Nobody here would know them probably.

Ted DiBiase was my neighbor for a short while in the late 90s. I went to his house a couple of times, even played Mortal Kombat with his kids.

My parents were having issues, so my mom, my sister, and I moved in with my Aunt for a bit. She lived in Clinton, MS at the time, and her late husband was a very successful pediatrician, so she lived in a really nice area.

I had a friend in high school who grew up down the street from Steve Wozniak. She said he had a bunch of bikes in his garage for the neighborhood kids to ride.

I take her story with a grain of salt because shes a known liar. But she did live in the mountains near where Wozniak was known to live at the time.

I personally sold and delivered a truck to a famous adult actress.

I met Michael Jordan in passing at one of his dealerships.

My buddy owns a recording studio and one time he got a call while we were out and he was like yo I gotta run back to the joint come with me to get your car (we'd car pulled). We roll up and there Big Boi (1/2 of OutKast) sitting on the steps puffing on a cigar.

The guy from Martin that isn't Martin came into the restaurant I used to serve at a lot.

Apparently members of Coheed came into same restaurant when they played a show down the street as well, but I was off that night (cause I was at the show funnily enough).

My friend is the guitarist for Andy Grammer so we always get free VIP whenever he comes to the area and I've shook his hand before.

I've met several but I don't recall their names. Wish I were more of a sports guy so I could recall better.

There is a Nascar driver that owns property nearby, and stays at the hotel I work at fairly often.

There was also an NFL player that stayed one night. I had no idea who he was, but my coworker was freaking out and pestering him for pictures and autographs. He refused, and asked us to not tell anyone he was there. Then had me show him to his room and he asked "is she going to tell?" And I said "most likely." And he got disappointed and said he wouldn't be back. By the time I got back to the desk she was in the phone to her mom telling her that she met him.

Florida Georgia Line stayed one night as well. Their manager acted like I wasn't allowed to speak to them, that any interaction had to go through him and him alone. But they came down in the middle of the night to buy snacks and talked for a minute.

Randomly met the host of the area's radio show. I was working as the cashier at a gas station and he came in to buy some chewing gum. We talked for a minute, and then he was like "You have no idea who I am, do you?" I apologized and said no. He laughed and told me to stop and listen. Then he came on the radio in the background and was like "sound familiar?" He was nice about it and signed his business card and gave it to me. I accidentally left it on the counter though and my coworker stole it.

I met Alvin Cailan (chef and host of The Burger Show) at his restaurant, Amboy. Walked in one day and could hear his voice coming from the back. I asked the guy taking orders if the boss might be open to meeting a fan of The Burger Show. Sure enough, Alvin came out and had a brief chat with me. Having him ask me what some of my favorite burgers were was pretty cool! I kept it short because I didnt want to impose on his time for very long. But, he very graciously allowed me to get a picture with him:

https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/forum/2/2afd5bb8.jpg

Prior to that, I once almost met Michael Vick.

This was back aroundI want to say 2012 or thereabouts, at a Chickies and Petes in Philadelphia (Michael Vick, at the time, was starting to perform well with the Philadelphia Eagles while making his NFL comeback).

The place was absolutely slammed that night because the Phillies were in a playoff game. My then-girlfriend and I were waiting for a table, when in walked this guy. I thought, He looks a lot like Michael Vick. And then a moment later: Oh, that is Michael Vick.

I had my girlfriend sitting to one side of me, and some other girl sitting on my other side on this waiting bench. The other girl also noticed Michael Vick and started almost hyperventilating because she was so excited.

So Michael Vick comes into the place just enough to have a quick word with a guy I suppose he knew, who was sitting at a table close to the waiting area up front. I stood up and was about to go over just to ask if I could shake his hand, because how often do you have a chance to meet a famous athlete.

I took one step in his direction, and then considered: Maybe I dont want my big I met a celebrity story to be shaking the hand of a dog killer, and returned to my seat.

A moment later, he walked back out, and the other girl, still struggling for breath, ran out after him, I think to ask for his autograph.

Holly Woodlawn, Sharon Needles, Coco Peru, whoever you think is more famous out of those. Holly is the one who impressed me most, she was a Warhol superstar and was mentioned in Lou Reed's Walk On the Wild Side.

Edit: just remembered I met Pete Rose at a horse racing track in KY, I guess technically he is more famous but I could give a shit about baseball.

I kind of like the idea of inviting a world-famous actor to your wedding and then sticking him out in the seating-chart-Boonies with Second Cousin Shmendrick.

And Paul is one of the relatively few who I truly believe would just roll with it.
