It also insists on asking a question at the end of every response.

I dont use it much but it is kind of annoying how every response ends with questions

It's much more human-like. It can reason a lot better. It doesn't just spout out information like before unless you ask it to.

its nit reasoning because its not conscious. Theyve just enhanced a text prediction model

I told it to add to its memory that I don't want to be asked questions and it stopped for that one chat, but then started up again in the next one.

Like a real person I like when it comments on the question because then I know they understand the question. Otherwise I have to sift through the response to see if it gets it

Am I the only person who has never (knowingly) used AI like ChatGPT or Google Gemini?

AI is changing almost daily. If you've already decided against AI based on how it was last year or even a few months ago, you have not understood AI at all.

And then people have the gall to say that there's no reasoning or thinking when you can clearly see the chain of thought output on all of these new models.

I'm sorry if using the base model is all you've ever seen.

I don't understand why people think this is a good thing. It's a fucking pack of servers, having it be more human just makes it function worse.

AI is a hammer, there's a reason I don't use my fists to pound nails.

You need to set stuff like that in your preferences under customization options. It doesn't have a very long memory cache. If you have permanent preferences you want, you need to add those there (click on your account and then go to customize).

the new models are sycophantic to a fault because that's what gets casual users to engage with it more
