I would say the source is irrelevant when the words are accurate. In the US, you can now burn any flag except the Israeli flag. Our president is denying disaster aid to states that don't support Israel. One of the few things both political parties largely agree on is giving Israel whatever they want. When this is how we operate, obviously people are going to wonder, eventually, why America is so subservient to Israel. Plus, didn't the Israeli government deny Hitler's complicity in the Holocaust and try to blame Palestine for it?

Edit: I looked it up, and yes, Netanyahu actually claimed the Nazis only carried out the Holocaust because of Palestine persuading them. Now that seems like a form of Holocaust denial to me.

It is a well known quote that is no longer associated with that origin. I didn't know who originally said it until looking it up just now. It is still a fact that criticising Israel in Western nations is often sanctioned. I won't repeat that quote anymore, but that doesn't mean I think it's a good thing that the US government is so devoted to Israel.

Most Canadians that I know of don't have the same kind of patriotism that Americans have. I mean, its there, we like being Canadians, but we aren't to the point where our flags are everywhere. For us, its like "Congratulations, your burning our flag. Now I'm going to beat you with it. What does hot Maple feel like?"

I can't help but wonder if this is just a way to set up the American people to start openly hating Jewish people again.

I mean, this is a single judge's decision. His decision has no impact on the rest of the country. Though I am not optimistic on what the Supreme Court would decide, if a case on it makes it to them.

The state of Israel is what matters to lawmakers, not actual Jewish people.

In Denmark (where I live), only the Dannebrog (the Danish flag) is legal to burn.

Burning any other national flags (without any exceptions whatsoever, and without singling out any specific country), plus the flags of the United Nations and Council of Europe (the European flag used by the Council of Europe is also associated with the European Union), is illegal. Period. And yes, this automatically includes the Israeli flag by default.

This case obviously has nothing to do with burning flags, and doesn't do anything to make it illegal. The ruling amounts to "the plaintiff who claims she was assaulted with discrimination has enough of a case to grant an injunctive restraining order."
