Just finished watching it a few days ago and watched Schaffrillas's review of it.

Overall, it is quite good. But I agree with the criticism that a lot of it sounds similar and it's got too many slant rhymes or near-rhymes.

It must've been really cool to follow it as it's being released though.

My favorite songs are Keep Your Friends Close, Puppeteer, God Games, and Suffering.

I also recently just watched it, and... yeah, God Games was probably my favorite of the bunch, and yes, some of it was samey. Still good, though, to my untrained-to-musicals ear.

I've been following since the Circe Saga. Thunder Bringer is my favorite song and Thunder Saga is my favorite saga overall.

(Disclaimer, as someone with rather limited experience with musicals), I love love love it! Find it terrifically fun the whole way through, and also it's meaningful and resonant for me in ways that are too private for me to wish to get into here.

As for my favorite songs, I'll choose one per Saga because that feels easier, and because there's so much here I love!
  • Troy: The Horse and the Infant (with Open Arms and Warrior of the Mind close behind)
  • Cyclops: My Goodbye
  • Ocean: Luck Runs Out
  • Circe: Wouldn't You Like
  • Underworld: The Underworld
  • Thunder: Mutiny
  • Wisdom: God Games
  • Vengeance: Get in the Water (or Dangerous or Six Hundred Strike, hard to choose just one!)
  • Ithaca: Odysseus

Absolutely obsessed over this with some coworkers last year. I caught up just as Wisdom Saga came out so I missed most of the early stuff but it was a lot of fun.

Wisdom > Ithaca > (next three depends on how I'm feeling) Thunder > Ocean > Circe > Underworld > Troy > Cyclops > Vengeance (pretty easily my least favorite)

Started following several of the actors solo projects as well but TE/MO (Athena's voice actress) has really been the standout for me. Which makes sense cause Athena has most of my favorite songs and Wisdom Saga is my favorite.

Since I've only listened to the whole musical once, I haven't really examined how I'd rank the sagas. But when I read about the musical prior to listening to it, I thought each sage would be, like, 9-12 songs long. Glad it wasn't the case!
