It changes everything about why Moria went after Kaido. He wasn't just some upstart young pirate at his prime who thought he could take on an emperor or the sea. No he actually had a reason, he was trying to liberate his home. So his spirit being crushed and him becoming a lazy schemer, well it's a bit more heart breaking.

And set up for Moria to side with Luffy in the final war. Luffy succeeded in liberating Wano.

If they did know, they probably wouldnt have let him become a Warlord in the first place.

Also Im pretty sure Kaido fought Moria after hed already stolen from Ryumas grave, but Im not 100% sure.

Not too much to say about the new chapter though, since the only new info is Harald and Rocks falling out. Though I guess its not super clear if Shamrock is a World Noble by birth?

Yeah, I think its just stuck in my head that Celestial Dragons look stupid, so when the mother seemed relatively normal from the back I assumed it mustve been someone elses kids.

Garling had been to God Valley and the people say the kids' dad is gone. They're presumably Garling's children with that woman from God Valley.

Honestly, I'm not sure what to make of the situation. Presuming that that is Garling's wife and the mother of Shanks/Shamrock (the crowd say the babies share her hair, so almost certainly), I am wondering why she isn't wearing a bubble helmet like the rest of the Celestial Dragons.

And yeah, how Shanks ended up in a treasure chest will hopefully be explained in the future.

Shanks has already talked about going to the holy land and spending a year there, there's no way that works if Garling didnt know about him.

That doesn't mean Garling knew about him AT God Valley, though. Shanks presumably went to Marijoa after the Roger Pirates disbanded. The kid with red hair and Roger's straw hat shows up there, looking functionally identical to a younger Garling and Shamrock? His story isn't unbelievable

Yeah, almost certainly. Garling doesn't give a shit about her. He's basically "Oooh, let's genocide the place!" without even a cursory "I have a girlfriend there, can we spare her?"

Dang... You read into the implications of her being a local of God Valley (something that I didn't pick up on first time I read the chapter...but yeah, she definitely seems to be a local of God Valley). It does make sense.

And yeah, I'd say it is likely she died there. The other possibility is she was brought back to the Holy Land as a slave as we have seen on Sabaody happening...but honestly, her knowing too much makes even this really unlikely.

I don't think Garling is that sentimental. The purpose of God Valley wasn't to take slaves, it was to kill everyone there. Not only for the game, but there was something on God Valley Imu wanted that likely necessitated zero witnesses

Seems about right.

I watched some videos going over Chapter 1158, and a couple basically assumed what you pointed out. There also was some speculation what was found at God Valley was the Ancient Weapon Uranus which was powered by the Mother Flame recently. Can't think of much else that Garling would care about.

Yeah, I'm very certain it's Uranus myself. "God" Valley, and the timeline seems to line up as opposed to Imu just having had Uranus in, like his sacred Mary Garage for 800 years or so.

with that in mind, Imu's orders were probably "kill everyone. No witnesses. I don't care how, just make sure they're dead by the end of the week."

Though if it was there I wonder why it'd be there. You'd guess Imu would've kept it locked up safe after using it to flood the world

That's the thing...maybe he wasn't the one who used it? Maybe the Ancient Kingdom used it trying to stop the First Twenty's forces (World Government Predecessors). Apparently the Ancient Weapons were made by the Ancient Kingdom, so it would make sense that the First Twenty's forces wouldn't have them. It is possible that Uranus was hidden either after seeing the consequences of using it and/or to hide it from the forces of the First Twenty. Same thing with Pluton (somehow ended up under Wano) and Poseidon is a person...so yeah.

Otherwise, it is possible that their location was lost during the war.

Imu didn't have it originally. The Weapons originated with the Ancient Kingdom, which were opposed to Imu. Joy Boy is specifically stated as the one who preserved them for future generations.

Keep in mind we do not know if Imu flooded the world 800 years ago and it's implied they didn't. The mural notes that "Man killed the sun and became gods and the sea god raged." The implication here is Imu killed Joy Boy and the original Poseidon was the one who destroyed the world with the flood.

Note that Tequila Wolf, Vodka Wolf, etc. and all the structures designed to let the Celestial Dragons survive the second flood started being constrcuted about 700 years ago.

now i'm wondering if Poseidon can do that since all we know they can do is control the sea kings, while uranus is the only thing we know can rise up the sea levels (plus we've seen the hole at EL). Though Poseidon probably can do something on top of that since just controlling the sea kings feels a bit too basic

Keep in mind each of the Ancient Weapons have the power to destroy the world. "Sea Kings" is a broad category, but also includes very, very, VERY big ones who can sink entire landmasses. Remember SHirahoshi losing it summoned a bunch of those and he brothers had to cheer her up VERY quickly or they would've wiped out the entire Fish Man kingdom.

Poseidon can presumably have the sea kings rage and generate absolutely enormous typhoons, floods, and sink a ton of stuff. The Sea King at Luffy's hometown is a flea next to the ones in the Grand Line
