Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) left early from a House Oversight and Government Reform Committee meeting with victims of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein on Tuesday, appearing visibly upset when she emerged from the committee room.

Mace wiped tears from her face and averted reporters eyes as she walked past them, signaling she would not be taking questions.

Mace, whos spoken publicly about her experience as a sexual assault survivor, addressed her early departure in a post on social media shortly thereafter, saying she had a full blown panic attack when listening to victims recount their experiences.

As a recent survivor (not 2 years in), I had a very difficult time listening to their stories, she continued. Full blown panic attack. Sweating. Hyperventilating. Shaking. I cant breathe.

I feel the immense pain of how hard all victims are fighting for themselves because we know absolutely no one will fight for us. GOD BLESS ALL SURVIVORS, she added.

Neither. She's just putting on a performance and looking for an excuse to not be at the hearings that she didn't want to be at in the first place.

Probably a distraction from news about the testimonies from taking the light of this show. Because distractions are all this fascist party does outside of killing people and their rights.

If yesterday was a show as some have suggested, she should be deeply ashamed. If it wasnt, you would hope her experiences would drive her to stand up for vulnerable people rather than being a tool for a man like Trump, and using victims as a stepping stone to get her own power. Because so far that is what her political career had been.
