It is good news but it just sucks that there is a large contingent of Americans who seem to just vote for whoever is not in power because they're not happy with their lives. Democrats can win midterms and 2028 but come 2030 those same people will vote Republican because they don't get an immediate fix

Low voter turnout favors Dems now, so these low turnout elections will be very good for them. It's likely that they will do well in midterms as well for that reason, but don't get overconfident based on elections like this, because turnout is very low even compared to midterms in these elections.
