Yeah, the BotW dlc was a little mixed in just the first pack is a good example of obviously cut content, but I think most of us were fine with the idea of an expansion costing $20, which is what the 2nd dlc was for. I agree that compared to the base game, that was quite hefty, but I still think that 2nd expansion looks a little more meaty than what this DK Bananza expansion is in comparison. You got 16 new shrines I believe, a larger variety of costumes, some cool sidequests, a whole new dungeon, a bit of new story (although not as much as I hoped originally, lol), and rewards from it.

To me, it was a good supplement to the overall BotW experience. DK Bananza, on the other hand, has a whole new island, but unless I'm not seeing something, the island itself feels like just a fun playground rather than a real story with it. The true content, this emerald rush, looks fun, but also doesn't really feel like an expansion to what the game is, but rather a side mode.

Thing is nintendo makes good DLC. And they can spend time making it worth the 20$ too. They can announce it now but their is no reason to try to rush it.

nintendo sorta (though it's overpriced usually), but GF......eh. SwSh's felt mostly bland and a lot of it felt like it could've been a regular postgame thing instead of DLC. SV's had some good fights but for the most part felt like there was nothing to do beyond just the story and it was just a big safari zone

The one thing I liked about SwSh's was that you didn't have to buy the DLC to get the Pokemon they added in. You could trade/transfer for them. The only one you might really miss out on was Urshifu since that'd be harder to trade for.

EDIT: Oh, and Calyrex, obviously.

yeah, but sadly won't be the case in ZA since the new stuff aren't mons but megas, and the stones seem to be one-time key items
