Board 8 > Which Nintendo franchise would make the best live-service game with battle pass?

"None" or "please no" is not an option. Assuming that one HAS to made, which one would turn out the best?

As for the design of the game, just assume it has the same design of a typical game in the franchise but simply has constantly added levels/characters/features and some kind of battle pass with cosmetic content along with the other live-service stuff like weekly missions and events and stuff.

Other considerations I didn't add to the poll:

• Zelda (how the hell would this even work?)
• Metroid (see Zelda)
• Donkey Kong/Kirby/Yoshi (too close to the mainline Mario option in overall design)
• Mario Sports games
• Animal Crossing (isn't Pocket Camp basically this?)

Please also discuss some of the other concepts even if you don't think they'd be the best option.

Pokemon. There's like 1000 pokemon. New gyms every 3 months or so? Yeah, I think it's pokemon.

This is more or less how Splatoon already operates except all the incremental new content is included with your initial purchase of the game, not additional.

as the sole write-in vote so far, I'm gonna say Nintendo Land but it's Fortnite would be pretty funny imo

but yeah maybe i'm crazy on this but like any other series mentioned, even ones that have had titles with pretty much all of that stuff, wouldn't go down that well if they embraced that model and structure more. it on the other hand i think would be kinda interesting to see with its array of minigames on a daily rotation and potentially more added over time. and obviously it never had outfits or other characters to unlock before and i think that it'd kind of just be a positive for it even if it is through a battle pass. probably not for everyone but i can say i think it's one i'd just be cool with

the only down side is it'd be nigh guaranteed to see EOS within a couple of years lol

Kid Icarus Uprising multiplayer with cosmetics and weapon draws and fusions would be addictive.
