I know someone who's been playing nothing but Fortnite since...whenever it was that Fortnite first become popular. Do you know anyone who does this? Do you do this? For which games?

What's the endgame for games like this? Are people working towards improving their rankings, or trying to obtain new gear, or are they just playing because they enjoy it?

The only videogame my mother plays is mahjong on her iPad.

I have a couple of friends who gradually lost interest in all other videogames, and now only play FIFA. For which they buy new consoles on release day.

My dad played C&C Generals exclusively off and on for like 20 years. He basically replaced his alcoholism with addiction to that game.

Tons of girls I knew only played Mobile Legends.

I had two friends who's step Dad would do this. One kept a SNES on pause practically 24/7 playing Tetris. The other was a truck driver that just played FF7 over and over and then on PC.

My dad was bad with technology, but he had a computer as long as I could remember and he would play a very small number of games. Tended to focus on only one game for a long period of time. The two he went the longest on were an old Bridge game and Civilization 2. In his last years, he switched to using an IPad, he did card game playing at with those, but dont know if he dedicated himself to 1.

Its not just literally one game but I have a few friends that mostly just play one series. I knew a guy that mostly only ever played Call of Duty. I have 1 friend that pretty much only has played NHL hockey the last decade and another friend who plays the hell out of FIFA the last like 15+ years. Like he plays a bunch of short PSN games but really no major games and virtually every game he plays he only gets a few % of the trophies but he has like 14 platinum trophies and they are all FIFA games going back to like 2011.

My dad plays a few simple games like solitaire and minesweeper, but the only more complex game he plays these days is Civilization 3.

I used to work with a guy who had only ever played CoD multiplayer... Never the campaign and he'd never beaten a single player game before.

For a while there, I only played TF2.

The only video game my dad played was Super Mario Bros.

My sister only ever played the Sims, but she played the shit out of it

Tangentially related but I know someone who only listens to one band - Stray Kidz. And she watches all of their reality tv show appearances and extra content, like them sitting around just playing games or whatever. it's super weird to me. She literally listens to no other music at all.

Not quite the same, but my brother and his wife started a YouTube channel and so far, after like 6 months, they've only played resident evil games. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but they seem to think replaying the same series repeatedly will get them viewers. I suggested maybe branching out and trying new games every once in a while and even gave them my physical copies of games I can get for free on ps+ and they refused to play any.

My wife has only been gaming for a short time (although she has always supported my gaming) and so far only plays Hello Kitty Island Adventure. She is very excited for the DLC in a few days.

I am just glad she is getting some joy out of a great hobby!

I've been playing Overwatch for several years as my multiplayer game, but I do cycle through single player games. I just really enjoy the game from a pure gameplay standpoint so I do get people who stick with one game.

My grandmother used to just play Cradle of Rome and it's sequels all the time for years. She actually had a game open when she died.

Same. Otherwise, it's non stop Borderlands, Diablo, or Resident evil. Occasionally I'll throw in a different IP but it usually goes nowhere and half the time I don't finish it. I have such a specific taste

My son only plays Roblox. Even though we bought him his own Switch, he only wants to play Roblox on the tablet.

My dad only plays Simcity 2000.
