If we were to judge everyone by something they said on the internet at least a decade ago, literally half the internet would be in trouble for their 2000s muh edgelord kid humor posts that would most likely make them cringe now. Then we had situations such as the ones with Roseanne and Gina Carano. They both made tweets that got them in trouble. But at the time of these controversies, those tweets weren't from years ago. It was current behavior.
