9/30 aka the final day of SOPTOMBOR

for #1-8, i'll give a little more context:

my current #1000 most played is Xiu Xiu at 17 plays. (Xiu Xiu is now ineligible to submit for #1-8)

there's now 959 possible hits. i would be more impressed if there are 0 hits tbh.

if you passed 25 days of SOPTOMBOR, that artist is definitely in the top 1000. even if i've only heard 1 song from them because it's guaranteed to have over 17 plays at that point. (some days i listened on youtube where plays aren't tracked).

that's why the tiebreaker will be lowest combined ranks (i.e. artists with more plays will be better in the case of a tie).

I have listened to Confetti, both the normal and piano version.

I like the piano version better, I think it fits better with the somber lyrics imo

given my personal musical experience and history i can only describe it as kawaii e-girl meets system of a down which is a combination that i never thought i'd have the pleasure of experiencing. probably wouldn't make it into my personal rotation as i have approximately 0 metal in my rotation but i absolutely appreciate it for what it is and does, and can see the appeal for others. strong choice, ffd, strong choice.
